How the cards are tested

cryptocardtested checks crypto cards for readers who cannot easily obtain or operate a standard bank card. Every card goes through the same five tests and ends with an overall score of up to 10. The home page orders cards by that figure, and the sections gather them by type.

The site itself issues no cards, sells none and takes no applications.

Five tests, one weighting

Each test yields a score from 0 to 10. The tests are: can you get the card, what does it cost, how is it topped up, is it reliable (issuer record and user reports), and is it convenient day to day. Availability and cost carry a quarter apiece. Reliability carries a fifth, and the last two tests split the remainder. A figure that could not be found is not held against the card and appears as not disclosed.

What each test draws on

Answers come first from what the card publishes: its site, help centre, terms and fee schedules. Where those are silent, review sites and user reports step in, marked unofficial because the card has not confirmed them. As conditions change often, each result carries the date its details were current.

What is outside the tests

A result is no advert and carries no money, law or tax guidance. Methods of dodging ID verification, sanctions or country rules are not taught.
